She was born in 1970 and studied Germany Philology and Compared Literature in Munich and Pisa. After that, she started working in Publishing as editor at several German publishing houses.
She plays drums, loves to travel and has one child.
In 2014 she was nominated for the Oldenburger Kinder- und Jugendbuchpreis and in 2015 she was selected for the Pulitzer Prize with one of her short stories.
